His fake son who acts as the beloved idiot of the group that is often at the end of the harsh or very insulting joke. His fake wife and daughter act as the stronger and more confident characters of the group even though their parts in the story are not as important.

There is plenty of iconography typical of the comedy genre: A innocent character, something goes wrong, a plane or goal, a strong main character, smart/funny remarks.

Your chosen movie
1) I have chosen movie is "The hunger game: catching fire"

2)  I chose this movie because I have heard it is a good one and even though I haven't watched it, I would like to and it seem to have things I'm interested in.

Institutional background
Use IMDB to find out the institutions behind your chosen film. Find your film, click on Company Credits and then look for the production company and UK distributor.

1) The film studio behind my chosen film is Lionsgate and color force.

2) The distributor for the theatrical release of the hunger games in the uk is Lionsgate Home Entertainment
.

No brand loyalty
1) The genres that my movie would fit into would be Science Fiction.

2) You can tell that the hunger games: catching fire fits in to science fiction as it is based in the future and the setting(spaceship) and props involved in the trailer are not ones from our generation.

3) The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a sequel as it is the second movie of hunger games after the original and now there is a third; mocking-jay part 1 .

3a) The film uses the original movie in it's marketing as the people who loved the first movie are now going to see the second one therefore it doesn't need as much advertisement.

It’s all a matter of timing
1)The UK release date for Hunger Games: Catching Fire was the 11th of November in 2013.

2) The first trailer of Hunger Games: Catching Fire was on YouTube on the 14th of April in 2013.

3)

It’s a social thing
1) The word of mouth was probably very strong as there had been a previous hunger game before this one so it had to live up to the standards of the first one.

2) Smart, smoothly directed, and enriched with a deeper exploration of the franchise's thought-provoking themes, Catching Fire proves a thoroughly compelling second installment in the Hunger Games series..

Risky business
Use IMDB to find out the box office records for your chosen film. Find your film, click on Company Credits and then Box Office/Business.

1) The budget for the hunger-games catching fire was $130,000,000.

2) On the opening weekend, Hunger Games: Catching Fire, made $424,645,577.

1)he was also the director of i am legend and it is also a Science Fiction.

2) the star of hunger games catching fire is Jennifer Lawrence.

3) She has also been in x men days of future past, and it is also a science fiction.

Medium Close-up

The medium close-up allows the audience to see who the people in the scene and work out who they are.The shot allows the audience to see the characters in the picture/scene that are dressed in armer, This might mean that they are some sort of police force therefore they might be the people who are going to chance Tom cruise that will lead to a scene  of chasing. The medium close-up allows you to see the faces of the police officers, the serious and surprised faces on them could mean that they have just spotted the target of there mission. The fact that you can see the other officers in the background in a orderly form might tell you that they are already set up and this the shot right before the chace starts.

Establishing shot

The Establishing shot allows the audience to see where the characters are, it also allows them to see a clearer image of what is happening. The fact that they show this scene right after a scene of Tom cruise and a police officer joins Tom cruise and the exploding car together, that forms a idea in the audiences head that he has something to do with the explosion. The scene shows us that cruise is trying to escape from a narrow alleyway, witch makes his escape hared and much more interesting for the audience to watch. The man in the background adds a realistic theme to the movie as it seem like it is happening in a normal place, hence to the audience forgetting it is a movie and getting caught up in it.

Close up

This picture is of the main character Tom cruise. close-up shot has been used because it allows the audience to see the emotion on the characters face.In this picture Tom Cruise looks confused and a bit worried. This allows the audience to try and guess whats going to be in the next scene. The background is is visible but blurred out focusing the audiences attention on tom cruise. The fact he looks confused and worried might mean that he has just scene the police he is trying to get away from, witch might lead to a scene of a close up of the police linking to to people together.

Language

The advert is for Lucozade sport, even though it doesn't say 'lucozade' in bold as the main heading people still recognise it, as it has a picture of the bottle in the bottom right had corner and it's logo in the bottom left hand corner. The fact that they have done this shows that they think the people looking at the advisement will be able to know it's Lucozade even if they give it a quick look, as the Lucozade bottle and logo are commonly seen therefore people and the target audience will be able to recognises it.The slogan 'Lucozade sport hydrates and fuels you better than water' encourages people to buy the product as it saying it better for you then water therefore the best thing for you. People who participate in sport will want to buy it as it might help them in the sport they compete in.The customer or audience would be more intrigued with the slogan as at the bottom next to the bottle, it says 'scientifically proven' this makes people believe and want to buy it more as the public are always more interested when it has been proven, therefore they would be more willing to buy it.The main image in this advert is the face of a male person-this gives us an idea of who the target audience is.As he is the main image he is the first think the audience see-The 'work hard' and 'serious' look on his face gives us the idea that he is a athlete-making us want to buy it because if athletes drink it it must work. The hashtage 'I believe' looks like it being said but the athlete-therefore this could also be a review on the product.

institution

The main institution behind the advert is Lucozade. The manufacturer behind it is Santory and it was introduced in 1927 in the United Kingdom.
Lucozade make loads of different sports/energy drinks challenging other sports/energy drinks company's such as monster, redbull and boost.

Audience

The audience for this advert would be people who have a interest or have a Currier in sports.
The person on the advert is a young male therefore the target audience would be young males from the age 20-40. Even though thins drink would appeal to both genders, males are more likely to be interested in sports therefore more likely to buy the drink-male 60% female 40%.

Representation

The representation on this advert is a white male, this might give you a clue of the target audience. His face is also very serious showing he is a dedicated athlete-telling you that Lucozade is a serious drink and not one just for nothing.  The hashtag 'I believe' might be trying to attract a younger target audience, as these sort of things are normally found on social media sites such as twitter, which are mostly populated buy younger people. The phrase 'hashtag' is sometimes also used buy younger people.

Quote: "Twitter tells us what celebrities are really thinking"

I disagree with this statement as I don't think celebrities can express them-self fully as if its a opinion or even a fact that could give them negative publicity they wouldn't want to post it as this could lead to more people disliking them. This would be bad as celebrities need people to like them to make a profit out of there career, therefore they would be restricted from doing that. Celebrities wont be as open on twitter as they would be with there family and friends, as on media sites such as twitter they have a certain responsibility to there fans as most of them look up to them as a role-model.

Friday 11 July 2014

This is my portrait advert on a new artist called 'KA'

Wednesday 9 July 2014

I picked a picture of loads of trees as I though it had loads of different meaning behind it.
The first one was environment as green and trees are normally associated with the environment.
secondly i picked profit  because people look at it as making stuff at of wood (or paper)and getting money out of it.
last of all i picked  adventure as little of kids look at it as a big adventurer on trip the could take through the trees and have fun, as most adventures take place in woods.

#
I picked the word work  as there are loads of different meaning to this words.
first of all you could associate the work 'work' as homework.
secondly you could think about going to work, as a job.
lastly you could think about a work out, going to the gym and doing a had work out for people who are interested in the  way they look.

  • the last program i watched was the world cup.
  • I think it appealed to audience as loads of people are interested in football and its a very popular so many people are talking about it, so you would feel left out if you didn't know anything about it.
  • I have used a phone, laptop, TV and tablet in the last 24 hours
  • I use my laptop the most to access the media as you can do a range of thing's on it.
  • the most important news story is about David Cameron comments on phone hacking, i think it's the main news story as it captures the public's attention by talking about something that effects all of them in a way(as most people have phones).
