Medium Close-up

The medium close-up allows the audience to see who the people in the scene and work out who they are.The shot allows the audience to see the characters in the picture/scene that are dressed in armer, This might mean that they are some sort of police force therefore they might be the people who are going to chance Tom cruise that will lead to a scene  of chasing. The medium close-up allows you to see the faces of the police officers, the serious and surprised faces on them could mean that they have just spotted the target of there mission. The fact that you can see the other officers in the background in a orderly form might tell you that they are already set up and this the shot right before the chace starts.

Establishing shot

The Establishing shot allows the audience to see where the characters are, it also allows them to see a clearer image of what is happening. The fact that they show this scene right after a scene of Tom cruise and a police officer joins Tom cruise and the exploding car together, that forms a idea in the audiences head that he has something to do with the explosion. The scene shows us that cruise is trying to escape from a narrow alleyway, witch makes his escape hared and much more interesting for the audience to watch. The man in the background adds a realistic theme to the movie as it seem like it is happening in a normal place, hence to the audience forgetting it is a movie and getting caught up in it.

Close up

This picture is of the main character Tom cruise. close-up shot has been used because it allows the audience to see the emotion on the characters face.In this picture Tom Cruise looks confused and a bit worried. This allows the audience to try and guess whats going to be in the next scene. The background is is visible but blurred out focusing the audiences attention on tom cruise. The fact he looks confused and worried might mean that he has just scene the police he is trying to get away from, witch might lead to a scene of a close up of the police linking to to people together.

Language

The advert is for Lucozade sport, even though it doesn't say 'lucozade' in bold as the main heading people still recognise it, as it has a picture of the bottle in the bottom right had corner and it's logo in the bottom left hand corner. The fact that they have done this shows that they think the people looking at the advisement will be able to know it's Lucozade even if they give it a quick look, as the Lucozade bottle and logo are commonly seen therefore people and the target audience will be able to recognises it.The slogan 'Lucozade sport hydrates and fuels you better than water' encourages people to buy the product as it saying it better for you then water therefore the best thing for you. People who participate in sport will want to buy it as it might help them in the sport they compete in.The customer or audience would be more intrigued with the slogan as at the bottom next to the bottle, it says 'scientifically proven' this makes people believe and want to buy it more as the public are always more interested when it has been proven, therefore they would be more willing to buy it.The main image in this advert is the face of a male person-this gives us an idea of who the target audience is.As he is the main image he is the first think the audience see-The 'work hard' and 'serious' look on his face gives us the idea that he is a athlete-making us want to buy it because if athletes drink it it must work. The hashtage 'I believe' looks like it being said but the athlete-therefore this could also be a review on the product.

institution

The main institution behind the advert is Lucozade. The manufacturer behind it is Santory and it was introduced in 1927 in the United Kingdom.
Lucozade make loads of different sports/energy drinks challenging other sports/energy drinks company's such as monster, redbull and boost.

Audience

The audience for this advert would be people who have a interest or have a Currier in sports.
The person on the advert is a young male therefore the target audience would be young males from the age 20-40. Even though thins drink would appeal to both genders, males are more likely to be interested in sports therefore more likely to buy the drink-male 60% female 40%.

Representation

The representation on this advert is a white male, this might give you a clue of the target audience. His face is also very serious showing he is a dedicated athlete-telling you that Lucozade is a serious drink and not one just for nothing.  The hashtag 'I believe' might be trying to attract a younger target audience, as these sort of things are normally found on social media sites such as twitter, which are mostly populated buy younger people. The phrase 'hashtag' is sometimes also used buy younger people.

Quote: "Twitter tells us what celebrities are really thinking"

I disagree with this statement as I don't think celebrities can express them-self fully as if its a opinion or even a fact that could give them negative publicity they wouldn't want to post it as this could lead to more people disliking them. This would be bad as celebrities need people to like them to make a profit out of there career, therefore they would be restricted from doing that. Celebrities wont be as open on twitter as they would be with there family and friends, as on media sites such as twitter they have a certain responsibility to there fans as most of them look up to them as a role-model.
